The CGRU signed the new community agreement with USAR. USAR will continue to offer select services to the senior club game, such as insurance which cost less when we pay as a group as well as the CMS system. The restructure after bankruptcy will protect the club game from having our dues mixed in with other groups as well as reduce the amount each player and team pays to the office. There will be services that USAR was covering (such as national playoffs) that the unions will now need to cover. The overall dues for a player won’t change for CGRU players, but more of your dues will be spent locally to grow the game and support your goals and your club’s goals.
This is the fee structure:
Senior player dues: $35 inclusive of liability and accident insurance (AIG/USI) (was $50)
Coach and Referee dues: $65 inclusive of insurance, background check, SafeSport certification. Administrator dues: $35 inclusive of liability and accident insurance
Club dues: $50 inclusive of insurance. (was $150)
A Training Membership of $26.50 inclusive of insurance and training/non-contact eligibility. Will apply towards full membership when lifting COVID-19 allows regular match play. (New for the Covid crisis)
CGRU dues - $0 for a Training Membership, $33 for Senior Player Dues, and $0 for Club Dues.
The CGRU is committed to supporting a national championship pathway, regional and local championships in the new structure. Those details, especially during the 2020-21 season are being discussed and we will have more information once those are available. We do not believe those details will be available until late October or early November. The CGRU is researching a possible paid administrator but has removed this expense from our budget. We have started to look for a 3rd party accounting company to help with oversight and taxes.
